I have owned the agency since 1996, and the agency is fully licensed. Prior to owning the Heidi Kussurelis Agency, I worked as a commercial underwriter for a company that insured car dealerships. As a Chicago native, I attended DePaul University on a cross country and track scholarship and received a bachelors’ degree in mathematics. My husband and I live in Ann Arbor with our three children. In my spare time I enjoy running, hiking, reading, and volunteering at my children’s schools. I currently organize the Family Fun Run for my son’s elementary school as well as coach the Science Olympiad team. I am also involved in the community through a group called Business Networking International. I believe that the key to my success is honesty, be it bad news, good news, or a mistake; people want and value the truth.

I helped Heidi launch the agency when it opened in 1996. After 5 1/2 years, I then took a 6 year break from working to spend time raising my daughter and focus on my family.  That time off allowed me to pursue a long time dream of mine, coaching volleyball!  I retired from coaching after five years when my daughter moved onto Milan High School.  I now sit in the stands with other parents, cheering on the Big Reds.

My husband and I also have a son who graduated from Ann Arbor Huron in 2005.  My family resides in Ann Arbor with our energetic and very "vocal" beagle, Maggie.

Since rejoining the agency, my primary responsibility has been to service clients and customize their insurance for their specific needs.

Hello everyone! I have been with the Agency since August of 2007 in the role as Operations Manager and Associate Agent. Prior to coming on board here, I worked in the transportation and logistics industry for nine years. I am finding the change of industry and position to be very exciting and challenging.

My husband and I live in Belleville with our daughter and our two Pugs, Mac and Cheez. I enjoy spending time with my family and watching our little girl explore and grow.

I have been with Heidi since 1998. I handle all aspects of customer service, but specialize in billing and claims follow-up. You may also know me as the one that makes the gentle reminder calls when you have “lost your bill.”

I am married with a daughter in college. I grew up in Ypsilanti, but currently live in Whitmore Lake. In my spare time, I am a die hard “Meechigan” football fan and an avid disc golfer. Anyone who has visited my office can attest to this. I am a member of the Ann Arbor and Toledo disc golf clubs. I competed in the Grand Masters division of the PDGA Worlds Championship. I enjoy the competition of disc golf and spending time outside.

I originally started working for Heidi part-time at the agency which has grown into a full time position as a licensed associate agent.  My previous employment was working as a nanny for two wonderful little boys as well as my own son.  The problem is that these little boys grew up and have outgrown my nanny services.  I very much enjoyed being a nanny but am ready to start my business career.  Taking on the insurance industry has proven to be both educational and challenging.  My fiance and I have recently purchased a home in Ann Arbor and are excited about having a place that we call our own.  In my spare time, I attend WCC and am working towards earning an associates degree in business management.  I love to read, work out and am passionate about kids.
