Why I need to Provide Loss Runs to my Insurance? – Ann Arbor MI

Hello. My name is Rusty Korhonen, and I’m with Heidi Kussurelis Insurance, and I’m a producer for commercial lines.
One of the questions we get asked occasionally is, “Why do I need to provide loss runs? I have no losses.” Well, in the commercial side, carriers want to know what losses you had, and they’re comfortable with getting a loss run specifically from your previous carrier. If you’ve had three different carriers, you need to get three different loss runs.
Sometimes carriers will actually accept a letter of no losses, which is a letter that you write and sign. It’s like an affidavit that’s holding you to that, but most carriers want to see the loss runs from the previous carriers that you had.

Hi, my name’s Tammy, and I’m an account manager with the Heidi Kussurelis agency. A general question we usually get is why do we need an umbrella policy? Well, an umbrella policy protects you and your family in the event you get sued, due to an accident. This protects you guys and makes sure that you’re not financially burdened, in the event of a lawsuit. In the event of a lawsuit, anything from checking, savings, home equity, retirement, investments, and possible wage garnish are fair game, so having these kinds of policies protects you and ensures your family is not financially burdened.

When will I receive my $400 Michigan Auto Refund – Ann Arbor MI

Hi, I’m Heidi Kussurelis with the Heidi Kussurelis Insurance Agency. And today I am answering a frequently asked question. Many of my Michigan clients are asking, when will I receive my $400 per car auto refund? So let me answer that question. First of all, let’s make sure you’re eligible. You had to have insurance coverage effective on October 31st. So however many vehicles you had, you will get $400 per each vehicle.
Now, some clients have already received heir refund. Others of you are still waiting. Each carrier is handling the process slightly different. Most of the companies are mailing your refund directly to your home. There are a few that are doing electronic fund transfer. So if you pay your insurance bill by EFT, then you will receive your money in your checking account. The deadline for this process to be done is May 9th. There is nothing you need to do, so you don’t need to call. It will happen automatically. And just note that if anybody calls you, asking you for information or to hit some button, that’s a scam. There is nothing you need to do. So enjoy your $400 refund and I hope you spend it wisely. Have a good day.

Despite the challenges of 2021, we happily celebrated our 25th Anniversary. A few years after graduating from college I moved to Ann Arbor to begin an amazing adventure. I married my husband and the next week opened a Nationwide Insurance Agency. We had zero clients initially. My immediate family grew side-by-side with my agency being my first “baby. I “raised” it along with my children, who came along a few years later. Since then, we’ve grown. Today we have 12 team members and 3 locations.
