Joyful Treats Community Development Corporation (JTCDC) is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Michigan. The purpose of our organization is to reduce hunger disparities, decrease bullying with the education of cultural awareness & lifestyles, and the creation of economic sustainability by leveraging educational partnerships between local food communities, school administration, parents, and kids.
Our charity serves as a resource to the community of free or low-cost programs in assisting residents who are victims of various hardships. JTCDC serves a diverse segment of the population whose economic, physical, or mental conditions impair their ability to provide their livelihood (survival needs). Our immediate actions to serve our local community in response to the current Pandemic began on March 17th.
To date, JTCDC food insecurity services have increased by 300% and we are weekly securing this demand along with the expanded family request of providing COVID-19 PPE supplies, clothing, hygiene care packages, and cleaning supplies and because of this, Joyful Treats CDC is one of United Way 2020 Power of the Purse Award Recipient as well as A Small Business Honoree for the Best of MichBusiness Award 2020.
